bittersweet me

This blog shouldn’t really be about heavy texts and heavy thoughts. Actually, in its present state, it’s not a blog at all. At first I said to myself this is gonna be the place where I share stuff, with no limitations. But I’ve been limiting myself, turning this space into a showcase rather. It has to be more personal and lighter, and more regular. And I think regularity comes with lightness, freedom of expression, and compactness. And really, no rules…

Spent the morning singing to a couple of old R.E.M. songs. Bittersweet Me was my favourite from my MTV years, middle of the 90’s. I liked the woman from the video, and actually not her exactly, but her yellow sweater. She was played by Valeria Golino, who’s also in Hotshots I think. Great chemistry in a video. Can’t say nowadays you get such great videos, as they used to make in the 90’s. My years.

Speaking of R.E.M. and great videos, another one recently crept back – Imitation of Life. Another inspiring song, though I’m not sure what it is about, apart from the title! But anyway, feels great bellowing this part of the lyrics: Come on, come oooon, no one can see me cryyyy!
